Titter Comedy Course

Titter… the only seven-week course that gives you great skills and something to boast about for the rest of your life

  • If you feel that your confidence around public speaking is holding you back...
  • If you wish you could be funnier...
  • If you think it’s time to shake your life up a bit and step outside your comfort zone...

If you answered 'yes' to one of these then Titter is for you.

“Doing Sarah’s course changed me forever. Since taking Sarah’s course, my confidence and competence has soared. I highly recommend it to anyone wanting to stretch themselves and improve their professional ability to present.” - Sadie Sharp

“Sessions with Sarah are always fun and rewarding. She is supportive and encouraging and takes you on a journey together. One of the biggest benefits I got was self-belief, knowing that anything is possible, and that I’d done something others fear. My confidence is greater than it was before. I would recommend working with Sarah as she opens doors you think cannot be unlocked.” - Norman Butler

Humour is one of the most powerful assets in any context.

After completing the Titter Comedy Course you will...

  • Be confident enough to perform a five minute comedy routine
  • Be able to make your presentations funnier
  • Move past the fear of public speaking
  • Know how and when to use humour
  • Have an amazing eperience to share
  • Have your colleagues, family and friends in awe!
  • Feel like a ROCKSTAR!
  • Be part of the private Facebook Titter Alumni group and get ongoing support

Whatever your reason for thinking about taking this course, I can assure you that knowing how and when to use humour, will give you a massive advantage in your life.

Being able to make people laugh is one of the most powerful assets you can have in any context.

If you’re funny you’re more likeable and charismatic, you attract more positive attention, and this makes you feel more confident and happier about yourself… and if you can stand on stage and make people laugh for five minutes… you’ll feel like a legend.

We’ve all witnessed how the power of a well-timed, amusing observation can win friends, influence people, and even make us fall in love! In business too, the ability to use humour effectively is increasingly recognised as a skill that can make the difference between promotion or being passed over.

Some people believe that you have to be born funny, but this just isn’t true, just like with any skill, being funny can be learnt, and there are systems, tools and techniques that comedians, speakers, and writers all utilise that I can teach you to develop your sense of humour.

Sure, you could go to click off this page now and say the time isn’t right… ‘maybe one day’, but what will happen then?

That lack of confidence around public speaking will continue to stop you from being your best self, from growing your career or business, or fulfilling your ambitions.

Your conversations and communications will continue to be less engaging as you shy away from using humour.

And you'll continue to stay inside your comfort zone, looking enviously at other people who are putting themselves out there… making their lives bigger…

Just imagine how cool it would be to tell them you will be doing a comedy gig!

These people were just like you...they took the plunge with Titter and look what happened...

Titter is a seven-week course, with six weeks of workshops, and the performance showcase in week seven. I keep the class size small to make sure everyone gets performance time and the opportunity for 121 feedback each week.

Now I know some people will have concerns and you may have some too, like...

"I'm not funny. What if people don't laugh at me?" I will show you how to develop your own sense of humour and performance using tried and trusted techniques, and with the knowledge and skills you learn from me, I promise they will laugh! Also I have a very special guarantee for Titter, and as part of this, if you are stuck, nervous or worried about your material I will provide 121 coaching to move you forward and get you back on track.

“I've never been good at making presentations or getting up in front of people." Many of my students used to feel the dread of having to do yet another presentation, but things can be different. You’ll learn the tools and techniques to make standing up and talking to group of people an enjoyable and fruitful experience.

"Do I have to do the live performance?" If at any time you choose not to perform your material to a live audience, I will fully support your decision. We will always encourage you to play ‘full out’ but we won’t get pushy if that’s what you decide.

This course gets great results, but don't just take my word for it... here's how some of my past students felt after doing the course and their first comedy gig...

I'm your Titter Coach, and my name is Sarah Archer.

I’ve been doing comedy for a number of years now, I’ve performed all over the UK, including hour long solo shows at the Edinburgh Fringe, and more recently I’ve transitioned into speaking, and writing comedy for theatre and other mediums.

But I didn’t start comedy until quite late…

I was in my 30s when I was treated to a surprise visit to a comedy club. I was blown away… I was in awe of the way the comedians held the audience in the palm of their hand, making them laugh and looking confident and completely comfortable.

Afterwards, I hung around to meet the headline act.

I told him I’d love to be able to do what he did…to have that power, charisma and confidence in front of people and I was lucky enough that he pointed me in the direction of someone who was able to teach me. I’m grateful that I took action because what they taught me has changed my life. Within seven weeks I was on stage doing my five-minute guest spot at a comedy club - all by myself.

And, I never felt more confident, exhilarated, funny and happy. I was also more confident at work, I made people laugh more, which got me noticed and even promoted at work.

After a while people at work and outside were often asking me for tips on how to use humour, and eventually I realised that there were other people - like you - who wanted to develop their ability to make people laugh and to create a stronger sense of confidence in themselves - and I knew by combining my coaching and business background, with the secrets of comedy I’ve learned... I could help them do just that!

“I very much enjoyed working with Sarah as my coach. She was very patient with everyone on her course and also very supportive. Sarah has a wealth of experience in public speaking which she was able to share with us. The main benefit I got from the course was increased confidence in public speaking. Also the 'buzz' I got from doing the course and writing and rehearsing the comedy was immense. I found it put me in a positive mindset for several days afterwards, which also helped me in my job as a salesman.

I attended the course because I sometimes have to speak to large groups of people in my job. In the past I have also given speeches at weddings and funerals, and had hosted a couple of boxing events. But the techniques I learnt from Sarah improved my performance no end, and made me even more confident.

When I did my 'virgin' stand up performance at the end of the course in front of 80-90 people at a pub in Swindon I felt very confident, and it went really well. The audience laughed at my jokes throughout my 8-minute performance, some which were written by me, and some which Sarah wrote for me, (Sarah is also a talented comedy writer). This was probably the best night of my life. (Obviously excluding important family events). I would whole-heartedly recommend Sarah's courses to anyone who wants to learn public speaking or improve upon the knowledge they already have.” – Dave Veysey

FAQs - Answers from Sarah

"I'm not funny. What if people don't laugh at me?" - I was worried about the same thing until I learnt the secrets of successful comedians on a course which now seems like an age ago. To be honest, 80% (and I believe the actual number is higher) of people that come on Titter don’t consider themselves ‘funny’...but it’s not the case. I will show you how to develop your own sense of humour using tried and trusted techniques. I bet that you have made at least one person laugh in your life time, am I right? And with the knowledge and skills you learn you will have the confidence to do it at will!

As part of my guarantee, if you are stuck, nervous or worried about your material I will provide 121 coaching to ensure you are absolutely confident in yourself and your material.

“But, I’m not confident. I've never been good at making presentations or getting up in front of people." - Many of our students feel that way but they learn the tools and techniques to make standing up and talking to group of people an enjoyable and fruitful experience. Many used to feel the dread of having to do yet another presentation, but things can be different. When they learnt to overcome their personal fears about public speaking and crowds of people they learnt how to really enjoy it.

"What if I can't make one of the sessions?" - Don't worry, we'll catch you up with the material you missed and go throuh the peformance exercises so you can practice at home.

"Do I have to do the live performance?" - If at any time you choose not to perform your material to a live audience, we will fully support your decision. We will always encourage you to play ‘full out’ but we won’t get pushy if that’s what you decide.

"I might not like the people on the course" - True - you might not...at first. But we have found that sharing the experience of learning and performing together creates strong bonds! Ask yourself what if you did like the people on the course? Wouldn’t it be great to meet new people and create new friendships? Experiences shows like attracts like attracts therefore it’s more than likely that you will meet people just like you! As many of our Titter graduates will tell you themselves.

“You meet new people from diverse backgrounds on the course.” Chris Waddell
